PAGE 1 You stare out your car window, looking at the foggy night sky. "Why did we need to move?" You think to yourself, picking up the stuffed rat plush on the seat next to you. "You didn't want to move either huh Bobo?" You say quietly to him. "It's ok. Everything will be fine, I'm sure." Feeling a bit hungry, you ask your mother for a candy bar. "Mommy, do we have any more chocolate bars?" She doesn't seem to notice your request. [[Ask again]]

PAGE 2 You sigh quietly and ask once more. "Mom?" She notices this time and asks what you need. "Yes honey?" You ask her if she has any more candy bars. "I'll check" She says. She rustles through her purse and comes up empty handed. "No, sorry honey." She dissapointedly says. "I do have a mint though." She hands you a small blue wrapped mint. [[Eat it]]

PAGE 3 You reluctantly unwrap the little blue mint and put it in your mouth. "EUGH! This tastes like poison!" You say, spitting out the mint. "They aren't <i>that</i> bad." she says quietly. You leave the conversation in an awkward silence. [[Continue|Jeez.]]

PAGE 4 The longest few hours of your life pass and your mom announces you're there. "Finally!" You say excitedly. At last, you both get out of the car and walk around a bit. No one is awake at this hour. [[Continue|Though 2 AM is a weird time to be awake.]]

PAGE 5 After wandering around for a few minutes you find your house. Your mom takes out her keys and unlocks the door. [[Go in]]

PAGE 6 You slowly walk towards the door. "Is something wrong sweetie?" Your mother says from inside the house, "Oh. No, I'm fine." You say back while stepping into the house. Your mother steps outside to get a few things and you lay down on the cold hard floor of your new house. After a while your mother comes back in and sees you laying on the floor. She sets a few boxes down next to the door and walks over to you. [[Sit up]]

PAGE 7 You sit up as your mother comes to sit next to you. "Look, Micah, I know you're probably upset by everything that's been happening lately with your father and all, I am too, but we can't dwell on the past." "It's been a bit jarring with all these sudden changes, but I promise everything will be just fine. Ok?" She gives you a kiss on the forehead. [[Smile]]

PAGE 8 You smile a little bit and she gives you a pat on the head. "Now how about you help me un-pack?" [[Help]]

PAGE 9 You help your mom unpack everything and in a few hours everything's set up. You sit down on the couch and take out your FunStation and play a various games for a an hour or two before you get tired. [[Sleep]]

PAGE 10 You set down your FunStation and turn off the lights. In a matter of seconds, you fall asleep. [[Continue]]

PAGE 11 You awake fully energized in the morning. After walking around the house for a while, you find a note taped to the fridge. "Hey kiddo! Sorry I couldn't be here in person to greet you, I had some buisness stuff to do. If you're hungry, I made some breakfast for you. It's in the ~~dinni~~ dining room. I love you!" Huh. Well you are getting pretty hungry. Maybe you should go see what breakfast is. [[Yeah]]

PAGE 12 You walk over to the dining room and see a plate on the table. The plate has bacon, eggs, and pancakes arranged into a smiley face, with a glass of milk and a glass of orange juice on the side. You take your utensils and dig in. You eat almost all of it, as you haven't eaten since yestereday. After that, you decide to go out and explore the town. [[Continue|Outside]]

PAGE 13 You get into your clothes and head outside. ... Not many people are outside. You decide to go to the park, as there are probably lots of kids there. [[Go]]

PAGE 14 You wander around the town for a bit before you find the park. There are 3 kids <i>barely</i> playing in it and 2 adults off to the side. You go up to the first kid, a young girl with black hair and a red shirt. She's playing with a popsicle stick. "Hello!" You say to her. "Oh... Who are you?" She says drearily. "My name is Micah! Nice to me-" The girl cuts you off before you can finish your sentence. "My mommy told me not to talk to strangers..." She goes back to fiddling with her popsicle stick. "... Wow. Rude." You think to yourself. Oh well! Her loss. You walk over to the other kid, a little blond boy with a red and orange striped shirt. "Hi!" You say to him. "... Hello." He responds back, staring at you with dead eyes. "What is your name?" He continues. "Uhh... My name is Micah. Nice to meet you." You extend your arm for a shake. He continues staring at you. You put your arm down awkwardly. "My name is Harvis." ... ... ... "Well... I'll uhh... See you laterr??" You say while slowly backing away. "Goodbye, Micah." He says while staring into your soul. You get out of that situation as quick as you can and head over to the third kid. She's a little girl with brown hair and a light yellow shirt. You ponder if its even worth it to talk to her because she looks catatonic. You go anyway, deciding it (probably) can't hurt. "... Hi." You reluctantly say to her. ... You were right, she's catatonic. You wave your hand in front of her face, no response. [[Go to the adults]]

PAGE 15 You walk over to the side of the park. "Hello." You say to the first one, a middle aged woman wearing a purple shirt with a star on it. "Go away kid." She shoos you away. The man next to her chimes in. "Sam don't be so rude!" He says. He's wearing a white shirt with a brown leather jacket. "Sorry about that kid, she's in a bad mood." "I'm not in a bad mood!" She responds "<i>She's TOTALLY in a bad mood</i>" He whispers. You both giggle a little bit over his remark. Sam still seems pouty. "Say kid, what's your name?" He asks you. "Micah. You?" "The name's Tod, but you can call me... Tod." You giggle. "Ok, <i>Tod</i>, nice to meet you!" You shake hands. "Uhh... say, do you know why everyone in this town is so..." You look back at the kids you met before. "... Weird?" He looks over to a lone house for a while then looks back at you. "... Long story." He says. He looks at his watch. "I gotta go kid. Bye." He says while he walks away. Sam follows him. "Wait!" You say to him. He looks back at you with a raised eyebrow. "... Who's house is that?" "A man named the Encourager used to live there." He says as he walks away.
